A new commission for the Marian Consort which juxtaposes texts from the Latin Requiem rite with English poetry. Singers of The Marian Consort will be joined by amateur choirs in an exciting sound-world which draws on the music of the past:  Premier at Merton Festival, Merton College Oxford in March and then performed as part of the Consort's 2015 concert programme.

I’ve had the pleasure of writing a new piece for the vocal trio ‘Voice’ this year, as part of their next concert programme ‘Patterns of Love’ which they are touring through November and December and taking to the US next year.  I was one of 5 composers to write for them alongside: Helen Chadwick, Marcus Davidson, Stevie Wishart and Ayanna Witter-Johnson. 

I’ve made a Radio Music Documentary for BBC Radio 4 which is broadcast 07.10.14 about the mix tapes my brother used to make for me. It's about his eclectic music collection and how he and I exchanged musical loves from childhood onwards, as he did with all who knew him, and how much this legacy has influenced and inspired me  – and continues to do so…

What a great project this was to be involved with!  The illustrious York Early Music Festival and the setting of York Minster was a pretty good start and then the opportunity to perform as part of Sinfonye along side the minster bells, handbell ringers, York University Chamber Choir, Harp, percussion and organ made for a magical evening.  We performed live realisations of the album we did with Decca last year - including the new pieces by director and composer, Stevie Wishart.

A huge project with collaborations between artists, dancers and musicians from the UK and Japan.  My piece 'Suspension' was performed again with Crossover Dance Company in the dramatic setting of Oxford Castle - this time by Oxford Girls Choir and guest male vocalists.  I sang with the choir through my teenage years - so it was great to go back and work with the current chamber choir.  They all did a great job - with such beautiful singing - and it was good to hear the piece realised with more voices.  I wrote it with one voice per part - a 9 part piece - but this time w

I was excited to be able to sing again with Stevie Wishart as part of Sinfonye in October - as a continuation of the Decca recording project we did in the Summer.  We met in Rome to perform as part of Mass at the Vatican with the Pope - possibly one of the most surreal gigs I've ever done!
