'A pastoral mood prevails on the debut solo album from Leeds-based singer-songwriter Emily Levy.  Twelve minutes in she puts down her guitar and listens to blackbirds singing.  Later, in "Joy of Living", she croons: “The years pass by and are gone with the speed of birds in flight”.  It’s delightful stuff, with spare acoustic arrangements occasionally embellished by electronic drones and soft, sometimes barely-there vocals which reach their peak in "Humm", where layers of treated harmonies mournfully underpin a series of reflections on mortality and the passing seasons. *****'
